Outfox is a biweekly budget tracker. This page explains what happens to your data, and how to reach us if something's wrong.
Effective September 13, 2026
The short version: Outfox doesn't collect your data. Your budget periods, transactions, categories, and recurring expenses are stored on your device and, if you turn on iCloud Sync, in your own private iCloud account. We — the developer — never see any of it.
Everything you enter into Outfox — starting balances, income, expenses, categories, recurring templates — is saved locally on your device using Apple's on-device storage framework. Nothing is sent to us or to any server we operate, because we don't operate one.
If you turn on Sync with iCloud in the side menu, your data is copied to your private CloudKit database — a storage space tied to your own iCloud account, used so your budget can follow you across your own devices. Apple's standard account security applies to that data. We have no access to it, no visibility into it, and no way to read it. You can turn Sync off at any time from the same menu.
We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking of any kind. Outfox contains no third-party SDKs, no ad networks, and doesn't share information with anyone — because there's nothing for us to share.
Outfox has no login, no sign-up, and no user account beyond your own device's Apple ID (used only for the optional iCloud Sync above).
Outfox is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age — see above.
